Rev. Christopher M. Fulgham

I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior between the ages of 6 and 9. The Lord had blessed me throughout my life; however, in my late 20s, I began taking credit for the Lord’s gracious blessings and began walking away from Him.

In 1997, I allowed my marriage of 15.5 years to end in separation and divorce. And so began my “woodshed” experience with the Lord. Please see my Ministry website (Saved by Grace Ministries) for my testimony.

In June 2000, I rededicated my life to the Lord. In April 2003, I founded Saved by Grace Ministries, an Internet ministry, to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ according to His Great Commission call (Matthew 28:18-20).

In July 2003, I finally surrendered to the Lord’s irresistable call for me to leave behind my career of 25+ years in the Information Technology industry to enter the Gospel Ministry and enrolled at the Jackson, Mississippi, Extension Center of the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. I began work towards a BA in Christian Ministry with a minor in Biblical Studies.

In August 2004, I was licensed into the Gospel Ministry by Double Springs Baptist Church and began preaching at various Southern Baptist churches as opportunities arose.

In January 2005, I began preaching at Fentress Baptist Church, filling in for their terminally ill Pastor who passed away a week later. I continued filling Fentress’ pulpit in the following months. The week prior to Easter, Fentress asked me to be their new Pastor. I accepted their call and preached my first sermon as their new Pastor beginning with the 2005 Easter Morning Sunrise Service. I was ordained into the Gospel Ministry in May 2005.

In Fall 2007, I dropped out of Seminary before completing my Senior year, and later resigned from Fentress Baptist Church in October 2008, due to significantly deteriorating health. The decline of my health began with chronic servere migraines in June 2000, followed by chronic severe body pain intensifying exponentially a few months prior to my dropping out of Seminary.

I have lived in increasingly debilitating pain every day since June 2000. It finally became more than I could bear, almost ending in my death at approximately 11:30pm, July 25, 2008. Praise God, He saved me from that fate and through His divine guidance, my doctors began to make some progress in managing my pain. I remain hopeful that I will one day be able to complete my Seminary studies and begin pastoring a church again.

I am happily married to my wife, Stefanie. I have 5 incredible children: Sherry, Chad, and Bryan; step-children from my first wife, Shirley (married January 1982, separated June 1997, and divorced November 1998). Please see my Ministry website for the biblical teachings which now define my God-corrected view of divorce. And: Jennifer and Morgan; step-children from my wife, Stefanie (married March 1999 for eternity). I love all of them unconditionally as though they were my own flesh-and-blood.
